Small Number of Documents
If you only need one or two documents notarised such as a passport copy, academic transcript or statutory declaration we offer same-day service by appointment. We’ll ensure your documents are correctly signed, witnessed or certified in accordance with legal requirements for the country involved.

Large Bundles or Business Documents
If you have a high volume of documents or more complex material such as powers of attorney, company documents, contracts or certificates we’ll ensure every page is properly reviewed and notarised. We handle corporate and private matters with the same level of care, offering clear pricing and fast turnaround times.

Apostille and DFAT Lodgement
We can also handle the next step for you by lodging your notarised documents with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to obtain an Apostille or Authentication certificate. This saves you time and ensures everything is correctly submitted and returned without delay.

Whether you need a single document notarised or assistance with a large volume of paperwork, we make the process clear and efficient. We also offer end-to-end support by lodging with DFAT for Apostille or Authentication, so you don’t have to deal with the paperwork or wait times.

What Exactly Is A Notary

A Notary Public is a Senior Lawyer with a post-graduate qualification who is authorised to authenticate, witness and certify documents for use overseas. The documents can be powers of attorney, identification, estate documents or documents for the sale or purchase of land overseas.

How It Works At Grange Lawyers

You’ll need to make an appointment to have documents notarised. At the appointment you’ll need to bring two forms of ID along with any documents to be notarised. To give you an accurate quote for costs, we recommend emailing copies of the documents to info@grangelawyers.com.au. We’ll then get back to you with a quote and can arrange an appointment. We also offer a service where we can have the document apostilled or authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs if that is what’s required by the overseas authority.
